Cub parents please read

Hi and we hope you have all had a great summer and ready for the new term to start tomorrow 9th September. There will be no Cubs next week 16th September.

Just a few things to address from last term.
We have had some complaints from Tabor and other parents that some Cubs have been left unattended before the start of Cubs.
As we all work unpredictable hours it is not always possible to get to the hall before 6.30 and Beavers are not always in the hall before us. We therefore ask if you could check that there is someone in the hall before dropping off your child and stay with them until someone arrives.

Behaviour in the pack over the last term has left a lot to be desired.
After a lot of deliberation we have decided to try a “5 strike system”. This will mean that if your child misbehaves during a meeting, they will receive a strike. 5 strikes and they will have to miss the next meeting. If another 5 strikes are collected we will ask that you come discuss a longer ban.

We are all volunteers and want to take the Cubs out on day trip, hikes and camps. However with the current behaviour none of us feel that it would be possible.

If you have any questions do not hesitate to speak to us.

Thank you and we look forward to seeing you on the 9th.

Steve, Ivan and Katie.
