Remembrance Day, 13th November.

Dear Parents and Beavers,

You are invited by Rev.Rod to attend St.Mary’s Church, Bocking Remembrance Day Service at 10am – 11am on Sunday 13th November, where our Beaver Group are giving their handmade wreath to the Parish church.

This is in addition to the Parade and Service at Bocking Public Gardens, at 1.40pm where we meet outside Causeway House with the District and other youth groups, dignitaries and V.I.Ps. to march to Bocking Public Gardens for the 2pm Service, followed by the march through town to St.Michael’s church. We do hope that you will all be able to attend the latter, in Braintree Town.

If you are able to attend either, please let me know for numbers for St.Mary’s morning Service, which I will pass on to Rev.Rod, (email:, together with the numbers for the Beaver group attending the Parade and Service in the afternoon.

Please remember to wear smart uniform, with a well fixed and visible poppy.  These are currently on sale in Sainsbury’s and other shops.

We look forward to a large and special Remembrance Day of past and present veterans, in Braintree Town.

Many thanks.

Yours in Scouting,

Bridie, Lucy, Sarah and Nigel.
