2nd Braintree & Bocking Air Scout Group

Jack Petchey Award 2nd Braintree and Bocking Air Scouts are recipients of the Jack Petchey Bronze award scheme for Youth Organisations and Clubs. This scheme gives the Scout section £200 to spend every quarter. How this money is spent is decided by the award winner each month based on a wish list created by the Scout section. Each quarter Scouts will be asked to vote for a Scout they feel is exceptionally hard working or has done something really positive for other people. The winners so far: Will you be next? What can you do to make this happen for yourself? April to June 2008: Jake Edwards - Selected by the Scouts as a good role model.
Jake requested the money be used for some off ground fire equipment. The remainder was used for more ground sheets. July to September 2008: Matt Sims - Selected by the leaders for contributions during the Summer camp.
October to December 2008: Sam Smith - Selected by the leaders for general helpfulness and good patrol leading
January to March 2009: Willam Ambrose - Selected by the leaders for ability to help others and general enthusiasm
April to June 2009: Niamh Dooley - Selected by the leaders for general enthusiasm and ability to over come difficult challenges |
