Hike – 11/2/11
There is no hall available at Tabor this week so all sections are away from the hall. Scouts are Hiking at Great Leighs. The meeting point at 7.30 is Great Leigh’s Village Hall which is Boreham Road, CM3 1NJ . We expect to be back around 9.30 – 10pm. Kandersteg 2012
The proposed trip to Kandersteg in 2012 has now been cancelled. We have tried to launch this several times but it seems a combination of increased costs, the economy, and the timing yes meant that we have never been able to get enough participants to make this trip viable. All monies paid in so far will be refunded. If at some point in the future there looks like there will be enough demand we can look at arranging a trip again. Any Scout can visit Kandersteg as part of a family unit so if anyone wants advice on this Skip or Jon will be more than happy to help. Gift Aid – Help the group claim £1000 a year!
The group has not made a Gift Aid claim since tax year 2007/2008. This is a very valuable source of fund raising for us. It means that was can claim back the tax paid on a subscriptions paid to the group. Looking through my current collection of Gift Aid forms I am aware some people have had extra children join the group and a lot of parents haven’t filled in a gift aid form. Printing Google Documents
I have noticed lots of people are not seeming to understand what is going on when trying to print google documents so he is an example with Screen prints. If it does not help you please let Jon know preferably on the phone so he can discover what is going on. Suppose you want to print the scout program (why would you it constantly changes but never mind) Click on the File and then print. Next you will get the print settings options up.
